Qualifications:                        Enrollment in a Specialist Level Training Program and University Supervisor’s Approval.

Position Characteristics:         Understanding of MTSS/RtI; knowledge of academic and behavioral interventions and school based counseling approaches; strong data analysis skills; willingness to gain a variety of experiences. 

Cooperative Characteristics:  Woodford County Special Education Association provides a continuum of services to eight member districts throughout Woodford County.  WCSEA runs specialized Behavior Development, Life Skills, Autism, and Early Childhood programs, and provides administrative, psychological, social work, speech, and motor support to the member district special education programs.  We have a collaborative partnership with the Regional Office of Education and Easterseals to administer a regional center for students with significant needs.  Additionally, WCSEA staff support the implementation of the MTSS/RtI process within the member districts.

General Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director of Special Education and supervision of the School Psychologist, provide direct services for assigned schools; assist in the intervention process as a member of the Student Support Team; perform individual psychological observations, evaluations and assessments of referred students; explain the results of these evaluations to parents, teachers and students, when appropriate; provide consultation to educational staff regarding behavioral issues; and perform other related work as required.
